Promotion of female education

Letter March 17, 2019
Females make up half of our total population — in the province as well as across the country

KASSAK, BALOCHISTAN: Education is the fundamental right of every individual — male or female — granted by our Constitution. Even Islam upholds the notion of equality between both genders in all aspects of life, especially with regard to seeking knowledge. Unfortunately, in Balochistan the two genders are not considered equal, and females are not allowed to educate themselves.

Females make up half of our total population — in the province as well as across the country. If they remain uneducated and deprived of knowledge, our society and our country cannot develop further. Female education is an absolute necessity and we cannot promote it without the help of the government.

The government must focus on making the education system better and make it more accessible to females in Balochistan, and encourage families to send their daughters to schools.
