The prime minister will inaugurate the newly constructed Cadet College at Ghalanai, headquarters of Mohmand district. He will later also address the tribal elders of Mohmand.

The premier is expected to announce a number of development projects for both the districts.

This will be Imran’s maiden visit to the two districts after their merger to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in May last year.

Last week, the prime minister took to Twitter to express satisfaction at the success of the 'Billion Tree Tsunami' campaign launched in K-P saying that the forest cover in the province has increased by four per cent, contributing to the fight against climate change.

The Billion Tree Tsunami project was launched in September 2018 under which the government encouraged people to plant trees and set up small nurseries to counter the threats of climate change and pollution.
