RAWALPINDI: In a rare display of honesty and uprightness, an aviation employee returned the valuables of Chinese national who had left them at the New Islamabad Airport on Wednesday.

Muhammad Younus, a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) porter, found a wallet with valuables at the level two of the airport premises.

Acting in a responsible manner, he immediately informed airport officials about the lost pouch.

After inspection it was found that the wallet contained valuables including foreign currency worth Rs1 million, identity card of Chinese national Guo Ming Zhamc, bank cards and other important documents.

The airport authority returned the belongings to the foreign traveller after he was located following an announcement.

CAA officials and the Chinese national appreciated the porter for his honesty and integrity.

In the similar development earlier, a passenger at Bacha Khan International Airport was astonished and relieved after an honest porter at the airport’s arrival lounge returned his lost wallet with foreign currency worth Rs0.36 million.
