Minister, teachers’ talks conclude

The DPC for the promotion of education officers of BPS-17 to BPS-20 will be completed until March 31

RAWALPINDI: The first round on the Charter of Demand between Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas and Punjab Teachers Council (PTC) has come to an end. It has been decided that the Departmental Promotion Committees (DPC) for the promotion of education officers of BPS-17 to BPS-20 will be completed until March 31. Further, The DPC for Education Support Team(EST), Student Study Team (SST) as well as their pay package will also be completed by the end of March. The teachers would be allowed to take 25 casual leaves other than the gazette leaves. The new regularisation act would be approved from the assembly soon.  Moreover, the 10 and 12 grades results will be recognised for the promotion of teachers in any category. Previously, the results of grades 9 and 11 were identified as the criteria for promotion. Further, the leaders of PTC told that the next round of dialogue will start in two to three weeks for discussing remaining demands.
