Nurse administers wrong injection during surgery

A nurse of a maternity clinic and her accomplice were arrested by the police on Saturday for allegedly killing a woman due to medical negligence and later dumping her body off on the road, Express News reported.

According to details, body of the woman was found near Edhi graveyard at Mochko Road in Karachi on February 22. After an initial investigation, it was revealed that the deceased worked as a model.

Alleged medical negligence claims woman’s life

The police said that the woman was undergoing surgery in a maternity clinic in Karachi's Gulzar-e-Hijri area when, during the procedure, the nurse and her assistant administered a wrong injection which led to the death of the woman. The body of the woman was later dumped on the roadside.

The police have arrested the nurse and her assistant. According to the nurse, the surgery was conducted on the request of a man named Umar who resides in Islamabad. The police are on a hunt for the man.

The last location on the woman's phone is the maternity clinic where the surgery was conducted. Further investigations are under way.
