There still are women who are yet to earn the right to say ‘no’ for themselves
KARACHI: It was March 8 yesterday once again. Women marched for their rights in cohorts in many cities. However, provision of basic rights to women is still a dream far from turning into reality for many. There still are women who are yet to earn the right to say ‘no’ for themselves: females of different age groups, who have been raped, assaulted or are harassed regularly by people as close as their own family members.
The rights are not confined to equal pay or equal opportunities, but most importantly for women getting to choose for themselves.
