Three dacoits were killed in an alleged police encounter in Karachi's Dalmia area early Wednesday morning, Express News reported.

According to the police, one of the suspects died on the spot, while two others were arrested in an injured state, who later succumbed to their injuries while under treatment. .

MLO Jinnah hospital has said that a post mortem of the bodies has not yet been conducted.

Earlier in January, police claimed to have arrested six robbers during different raids in Sargodha.

Bhagtanwala Police Station SHO Rab Nawaz Khan told Express News that the force received a tip-off that six robbers, belonging to a notorious criminal gang, were present in different areas across the town. He added that the police team immediately conducted raids and nabbed the culprits identified as Fayyaz Ahmed, Ghulam Abbas, Kamran, Shafaqat, Ansar Abbas and Ramzan.

He said that a large quantity of arms, ammunition, drugs and other valuables were seized from the possession of the outlaws. The SHO said that the gang used to commit robberies and rob people at gunpoint in different areas.
