QUETTA: Balochistan Law and Parliamentary Affairs Secretary Abdur Rehman on Sunday ordered to pursue all the cases against government institutions and to inform the department immediately if the representatives were absent from proceedings.

The decree came during a meeting of officers presided by the secretary.

Rehman assured the officers of his support in resolving the issues on priority basis and called for a monthly performance report to be presented to the law department.

The secretary said that the law and parliamentary affairs department was responsible for reviewing any new law formulated or amendments put forward to it.

It must be clarified that the law department makes changes to the law to strengthen the institutions and provide relief to the public, he added. Codification Director Qasim and other officers were present on the occasion.
