No one can dare cast evil eye on Pakistan, says Dr AQ Khan

Karachi commissioner lauded the role of UN, international community in resolving Pak-India tensions

KARACHI: Renowned scientist and the father of Pakistan's nuclear programme, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has said that the morale of the nation was high as Pakistan is a nuclear power and no one can dare cast an evil eye on the country.

He was addressing, telephonically, a reception of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Friday night.

The FPCCI organised an event titled "Jaag Raha Hai Pakistan" [Pakistan is awake] to pay tribute and to express solidarity with the Prime Minister (PM) and Armed Forces of Pakistan.



Dr Khan said that the whole nation stands with the armed forces and is confident that Pakistan will emerge victorious from the situation. He said that the nation felt protected and secure from any aggression. He also urged the businessmen to play their due role in economic development and enhancement of Pakistan's exports.

Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Ali Shallwani said that the armed forces, along with civilians, have shown their determination to defend Pakistan till their last drop of blood.

SM Muneer, a businessman, said that the business community of both nations want bilateral relations and trade. "Pakistan Army is very much patriotic and brave and possesses the ability to perform in all circumstances."



He also lauded the decision of the foreign minister of not participating in Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference, engaging Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia and others on this crucial issue and projecting Pakistan's stance as a safe and peaceful country.

The ceremony was also addressed by FPCCI Vice Presidents Muslim Muhammedi, Noor Ahmed Khan, Arshad Jamal, former president Zubair Tufail, former senior vice president Khalid Tawab, Abdul Sami Khan, Senator Abdul Haseeb, former vice presidents Mirza Ishtiaq Baig, Shakeel Dhingra and other leading businessmen, officers of armed forces and government officials.
