UNDP offers help to extend judicial system in ex-FATA

UNDP is closely working with rule of law and justice institutions in K-P

PESHAWAR: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is willing to help set up law and judicial system in newly merged tribal districts said UNDP Representative Ignacio Artaza.

“UNDP will provide technical assistance to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for establishment of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Legal Aid Authority after passing of the act by the provincial government,” Artaza said during a meeting with K-P Minister for Law and Human Rights Sultan Muhammad Khan.

“UNDP will support the extension of rule of law and justice system in newly merged districts,” said Artaza. He further added that UNDP is closely working with rule of law and justice institutions in the province.

Sultan Muhammad has said K-P government is bringing reforms in judicial system for speedy justice and to enhance the life standard of aggrieved section of society.
