Sindh Assembly asks PM to call an all-party conference

Unanimous resolutions were passed to laud the Pakistan Army

KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly session on Wednesday paid tribute to the courage and valour of the Pakistan Army and prayed for the security of the country and success of the armed forces.

The session also expressed grief for the family that died due to the building collapse in Jaffar Tayyar Society, Malir, and those who were martyred by the firing of Indian Army in the border areas.

The female MPAs of Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) Tanzeela Qambrani, Hira Ismail Soomro, Marvi Fasih Rashidi and Sadia Javed moved a resolution to condemn the Indian attack. A similar resolution was moved by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Umar Ammari, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan's (MQM-P) Muhammad Hussain, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan's (TLP) Qasim Fakhri, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal's (MMA) Abdur Rasheed and Grand Democratic Alliance's (GDA) Nusrat Sehar.

The assembly passed both the resolutions to pay tribute to the Pakistan Army and all other matters on the agenda were adjourned till the next session. The House represented unanimity in suggesting that Prime Minister Imran Khan should call an all-party conference to discuss the current critical situation being faced by the country.
