LAHORE: The Lahore Literature Festival that commenced on Friday, February 22, has once again brought academics and intellectuals under one roof. It has given a kick-start to the country’s most coveted literature festivities. Karachi will be hosting the three-day festival in the coming weekend.
Such festivals help in keeping the literary world alive in the country, instilling the habit of book reading among our new generation. Academic institutions should make it a point to take students to such festivals as it will also provide students from different age groups an opportunity to meet and listen to writers from Pakistan and abroad.
