Pakistan and UAE navies also conducted 'Nasl Al Bahr' bilateral exercise, which was aimed at enhancing brotherly relations between the two strategic partners.
This is the second series of bilateral exercises conducted between the two navies. The first was held in 2014 in Pakistani waters.
The exercise provided a common platform to Pakistan and UAE navies to improve tactical procedures and develop common understanding against asymmetric, air and surface threats in the maritime domain.
During the two-day exercise, a number of operations pertaining to maritime security, search and rescue, maneuvering drills, maritime infrastructure protection, communications and warfare related exercises were undertaken.

Pakistan's Vice Admiral Abdul Aleem Chief of Staff (Personnel) also met Deputy Commander UAE Naval Forces Abdullah Al Shahi in order to strengthen relations between the two countries.
PNS Tariq also hosted a reception onboard during stay at the port that was attended by Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal and other high-rank military and civil officials of UAE.
"The IDEX/NAVDEX-19 is one of the leading trade shows for defence technology in the region. It is an ideal platform to exhibit leading-edge military technology and share ideas in the rapidly developing world," according to the Pakistan Navy.
Accordingly, Pakistan and UAE navies have maintained very strong and close relations over the decades. Both countries enjoy close and warm relations of brotherhood and friendship, which are based on strong foundations of the religious bonding and cultural affinity.
