KARACHI:

UK-based defender Zesh Rehman will be available for the World Cup Qualifiers against Bangladesh despite missing the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) camp that is being held in preparation for the ties due to his commitment with the Muangthong United Club in the Thai Premier League.

According to coach Tariq Lutfi, Rehman had been engaged with the Thai club since last year. However, he will represent Pakistan against Bangladesh on June 29 in Dhaka and July 3 in Lahore.

“Rehman is missing the camp but he might join the team in Dhaka,” Lutfi told The Express Tribune. “He’ll either be here on June 27 or he’ll come to Dhaka depending on his schedule. But the good news is that he’s available for the matches .He’s playing in the Thai League so he’s getting the best possible match practice.”

Meanwhile, the other two UK-based footballers Atif Bashir and Adnan Farooq will join the camp on June 20.
