We’re peace loving nation but won’t be intimidated: COAS on LoC visit

Gen Bajwa reviews state of preparedness, lauds troops’ morale: ISPR

Amid relentless sabre-rattling from New Delhi, army chief has said that though Pakistan is a peace loving country, it will not be intimidated and any misadventure will be given a befitting response.

General Qamar Bajwa made the remarks on his visit to the Line of Control on Friday, said a statement issued the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The visit came hours after a press briefing by DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor, in which he warned India that army was fully prepared to meet any aggressive measure in the aftermath of the suicide attack in Pulwama district of occupied Kashmir.

According to the military’s media wing, the army chief reviewed the troops' state of preparedness, and lauded their high state of morale.

Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan authorised the country’s armed forces to respond “decisively and comprehensively” to any aggression or misadventure by India.
