
Following the directions from Operations-Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police Waqaruddin Syed, all officials of the federal police have accelerated their efforts to curb anti-social elements within their respective jurisdictions.
In light of those directives, SP Saddar Zone Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted police teams under the supervision of Station House Officers of all the police stations in Saddar zone. A squad from the Shalimar police station arrested six suspects identified as Zeeshan, Yasir, Asad Ali, Abdul Latif, Tariq and Intizar Hussain for their alleged involvement in theft cases and recovered stolen property worth Rs850,000 from them.
Meanwhile, the Tarnol police have arrested Shaukat Khan and recovered stolen valuables worth Rs2.5 million from him.
The Golara police arrested three suspects identified as Aamir, Farooq, Sikander Khan and recovered have stolen property worth Rs200,000 from their possession.
Meanwhile, the Ramna and the Karachi Company police recovered two stolen vehicles worth Rs4.6 million.
Cases have been registered against all the detainees while further investigations are underway.
Operations-DIG Syed appreciated this performance of the police and directed them to op for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He also announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for policemen who arrested and recovered valuables from these outlaws.
