Telenor holds ‘Game Bird Fest’

Telenor sponsored the event as part of its efforts to promote local gaming community in Pakistan

LAHORE: Seven teams from various parts of Pakistan have won prizes and trophies at the ‘Game Bird Fest’, a gaming tournament organised by Telenor Pakistan in Lahore. Prizes worth Rs5 million were distributed among the winning teams. Telenor sponsored the event as part of its efforts to promote local gaming community in Pakistan. Gaming fans from all over the country showed up at the event and witnessed various mobile and PC games, including Dota 2, Asphalt 9, Clash Royal and PUBG. Telenor Game Bird is the first and biggest gaming platform of Pakistan and serves as a bridge between gamers and game developers as well as works to promote gaming ecosystem in the country. Telenor has also become the first telecom operator in Pakistan which uses Google Direct Carrier Building (DCB) to enable speedy access to content. Telenor users can use the DCB facility to purchase apps and premium services through their Telenor balance.
