A lesson for Indian celebs: Mawra's graceful response to Pulwama attack
Let's hope Kangana Ranaut and Gautam Gambhir are taking notes
Since Mawra Hocane made her Bollywood debut with 2016 romantic drama, Sanam Teri Kasam, she has openly spoken about her fondness for working across the border.
However, after the ban on Pakistani artists post Uri attack, the Aangan starlet refrained from commenting on the matter. Few days ago, when India banned Pakistani artists once again, this time in the wake of Pulwama attacks, Mawra was once again asked the same question.
Her thoughts on the matter.
A user posted, "Your views on the Pulwama attack. I know you are not going to answer this. But still."
To this, the actor pointed out three arguments:
1. You assumed what I would do before I did it, so first things first stop judging.
2. Humanity first. Every life lost is a human life lost. It’s heartbreaking! Praying for sabar and more love on this side of the world.
3. Stop the hate just in case someone isn’t expressive
Her dignified response is something Indian celebrities should learn from instead of mindlessly spewing hate against Pakistan.
Here's hoping better sense prevail.
