CPEC and benefits

Pakistan has offered great prospects to China

NAUDERO: Pakistan and China have been maintaining friendly relations for the past so many decades. The two neighbouring countries are consistently building and developing strong strategic and economic partnership.

China is making huge investment in Pakistan under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which is a 3,000 kilometres long trade route that connects the port city of Gwadar in Balochistan province of Pakistan with Kashgar city in China.

Currently, China imports 80 per cent of its oil from members of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), including Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Iraq. This oil trade is made via the sea. CPEC will connect China with the Gulf and the West.

Besides, the CPEC project would significantly add more value to the historical friendship between Pakistan and China that is rightly described as higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the oceans and sweeter than honey.

Pakistan has offered great prospects to China. For Pakistan, the economic corridor project will help strengthen the trust and love of its Baloch brothers. Trade and development in Balochistan would open up economic opportunities for the people of the province. Furthermore, it will also create immense employment opportunities for the people of the whole of Pakistan.

We hope and pray that this historic friendship prosper even more in the future.
