Dirt and filth all around

The dirty conditions are producing flies and mosquitoes

KARACHI: Unhygienic conditions have been prevailing in most urban areas of Sindh province for long. Heaps of garbage remain piled up in different area. The dirty conditions are producing flies and mosquitoes. This is causing various diseases like typhoid, diarrhea, jaundice, hepatitis, etc. Many roads in almost all parts of the province have been in a state of disrepair for years. Metalled roads have become dirt and mud tracks. Even in the metropolis that is called Karachi, people do not get water in their taps but they do get water bills on a regular basis. And there is gutter water on roads. One fails to comprehend whether there is a government in the province. The authorities must wake up from their deep slumber. A complacent notion of reality harms both the rulers and the ruled.
