QUETTA: Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has assured the office-bearers of the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) of the redressal of their reservations and directed them to keep in contact with workers and inform them about the people-friendly measures taken by the provincial government.

Kamal, who is the President of the BAP, met a party delegation led by Abdul Fatah Jamali and discussed organizational affairs. The meeting was also attended by provincial minister Saleem Khosa, Parliamentary Secretary Sikandar Umrani and Dinesh Kumar.

“Through the positive steps taken by the BAP-led provincial government, our party has gained public trust across the province,” Kamal told the delegation. “The party workers should inform the public about our people-friendly policies,” he added.

“Our workers and leaders are our strength and the party is gaining popularity because of the hard work of our workers,” he said, adding, “The provincial government has taken steps to provide relief to the people of Balochistan, therefore, people’s trust in BAP is increasing with each passing day.”

Chief Minister Kamal also inaugurated the minerals department’s web portal, which contains all the necessary data on the mineral reservoirs, mining areas allotment and other issues.

The web portal -- www.gdc.gob.pk – aims at helping potential national and foreign investors. Provincial minister Zahoor Buledi, Naseebullah Marri and Sikandar Umrani, MPA Rasheed Baloch and government officials were present at the inauguration ceremony.

On the occasion, Mining Secretary Zahid Aslam briefed the chief minister about the data centre, saying that the “investors can find all the data regarding the provincial mining sector on our website”.

“Establishing the data centre is an important part of the provincial government’s mineral policy,” Aslam said. “Mining data will be compiled and shared on our website for international investors,” he added.

Chief Minister Kamal expressed the hope that the data centre would be helpful in providing “all information regarding mineral resources to the national and foreign investors” and directed the department to update information about functional and non-functional mines on the website.
