Warning: ‘Load-shedding may cause water crisis’

KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) has warned that there may be an acute water shortage in many parts of the city. According to a statement issued on Friday, the water board’s managing director, Misbahuddin Farid, has pointed out to the Karachi Electric Supply Company that the rolling blackouts and heavy fluctuation is critically affecting water pumping stations. This may lead to an acute water shortage.
