Pims nursing staff continue protests

ISLAMABAD: The nursing and paramedical staff of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Friday continued their protest in the hospital premises demanding an increase in their salaries in line with increase provided to other hospital staffers.

The protesting nurses said that the hospital management had raised salaries of medical practitioners but they have not increased the salaries of the nursing and paramedical staff.

They demanded that the health authorities immediately increase their salaries. They lamented that despite making several appeals to the hospital's management, the promises made to them have yet to be fulfilled.
