Sexual harassment

Sexual harassment is growing at a pace and both males and females are victims of it

BAL NIGWAR, KECH: Sexual harassment has become common to the point where almost every other female has experienced it once in a lifetime. Sexual harassment is growing at a pace and both males and females are victims of it.

The inevitable consequences of sexual harassment include mental health complications for the victim which often last for a lifetime. When an individual is sexually harassed, it directly impacts his or her self-esteem.

This often results in changed social behaviour of the victim. Counseling and support is pivotal for the recovery process of the victim.

Hence, there is not only a need for proper support and help to the victim but also to teach our youth to behave appropriately especially towards their female counterparts.
