PML-N president says he's committed to the 'humble service' of Pakistan
Following his release on bail on Thursday, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif thanked his family for giving him "the courage to stand with conviction and righteousness".
"Allah's blessings, my mother's prayers, my brother's guidance, my family's love & the strength of the party workers & people of Pakistan along with a clear conscience have given me the courage to stand with conviction and righteousness," he tweeted.
The former Punjab chief minister vowed to continue working in the "humble service" of the country.
The Lahore High Court accepted the opposition leader’s request for bail in the Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing Scheme and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases earlier in the day.
Shahbaz was taken into custody by the National Accountability Bureau Lahore in connection with the Ashiana Housing case in October 5, 2018.
