According to a PAD spokesman, the department has set up 325 sale points in 36 districts of the province to supply seed kits to the masses at a concessional rate of Rs50 for each packet.
He said the vegetable seeds, which could be grown through kitchen gardening in spring season, would be supplied to the people.

The step has been taken to promote "kitchen gardening culture" and create awareness about the importance and utility of homegrown fresh vegetables across the province.
The seed kits were prepared by the Vegetable Research Institute, he added.
In December last year, the department had sold 100,000 winter (Rabi) seed kits on subsidised rates across the province. In Sialkot District, 3,200 seed kits were sold out of which 800 were sold in Daska Tehsil, 1,200 in Sialkot Tehsil, 800 in Pasrur Tehsil and 400 in Sambrial Tehsil.
The agriculture department is also conducting training programmes for aspirants in schools, colleges and universities and vocational training centres across Punjab.
