HYDERABABD: In a rare implication in an offence, a pet tamer has registered an FIR against a landlord and the latter's three men for allegedly killing his three dogs that trespassed in his agricultural fields. The FIR was registered at Suranh Police Station in Khairpur district on complaint of Ghulam Murtaza Bhanbro.

The landlord, Jan Muhammad Rajjar, his son, Ali Nawaz Rajjar, farm manager, Lakha Dino Bozdar, and another person have been charged with the crime. Jan, who is associated with Grand Democratic Alliance, alleged that Pakistan Peoples Party's local leaders were behind the case due to political rivalry. Bhanbro is said to be a PPP worker.

The complainant claimed that the accused killed his three dogs and drowned them in a waterway. "They killed the dogs saying that they entered into their jageer [estate]." The police said that they were investigating the case. Under Section 428 of Pakistan Penal Code, the conviction entails imprisonment of up to two years besides a fine.
