Such news tarnish the country’s image among the global community
LAHORE: It is shameful that over 10,000 Pakistanis had registered themselves as Afghan citizens only to receive the monthly stipend from the United Nations assigned for the Afghan refugees in Pakistan. This well explains what importance does the nationality of the citizens of this country holds to them, who can willingly put it at stake for a nominal sum of money. Such news tarnish the country’s image among the global community.
Instead of having themselves called proud citizens of a free and sovereign country, few Pakistanis only for money won’t mind becoming citizens of a war-torn country that has remained embroiled in turmoil for decades.
