Centre to induct excluded Balochistan projects in PSDP

The federal government on Friday has agreed to include Balochistan’s excluded development projects in the next Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

The decision was taken after a two-day long discussion between representatives of the Planning Commission of Pakistan and provincial officials.


Talks to finalise provincial development project commenced between Advisor to Federal Minister for Planning Sheikh Asif and provincial team comprising Additional Chief Secretary for Planning and Development Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta, Principle Secretary to CM Balochistan Noor ulAmeen Mengal and provincial secretaries.

During the discussion, the federal government has agreed to add provincial development projects excluded from the federal PSDP while also pledging to include more projects from the province.

Taking bold steps to address provincial reservations the federal government has assured provincial government it would include more projects from Balochistan in next federal PSDP while pledged to expedite release of funds for timely completion of provincial development projects.
