The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is a historic initiative which will help the country attract investors and create jobs, along with business opportunities for locals.
This was stated by Sargodha University’s Pakistan Institute of China Studies Director Dr Fazal ur Rahman during a seminar titled “China-Pakistan Relations: The Case of CPEC.” The event was held to sensitise students about CPEC, its various aspects and consequences of the mega project.
Large-scale CPEC projects to be completed in few months
Dr Rahman said CPEC was an example of a substantive cooperation between China and Pakistan. He said Pakistan wanted economic stability and peace in the region.
“The project will be beneficial for both the countries,” he mentioned.
The director highlighted, “In the current geo-political circumstances, when both Pakistan and China confront threats and pressure from their adversaries, it is essential to elevate their strategic partnership to an even higher level.”
