Role of businesswomen highlighted

In textile sector-specific exhibition Texpo 2019 organised by TDAP

LAHORE: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has been endeavouring to provide assistance to women entrepreneurs by enabling them to take active part in development of the country’s economy. TDAP DG Mian Riaz Ahmad stated this while talking to Shireen Arshad, Vice President (Women Wing) FPCCI, who visited the TDAP Lahore on February 6. Arshad appreciated the crucial role of the TDAP in mainstreaming women entrepreneurs in world trade through participation in international and local exhibitions. She lauded efforts of the TDAP for organising textile sector-specific exhibition Texpo 2019 (April 11-14) and desired that the women chamber should be given due role in the upcoming Texpo 2019. Furthermore, the association appreciated efforts of the TDAP Lahore DG to engage women chambers under the Emerging Pakistan initiative of Commerce Secretary Mohammad Younus Dagha.
