ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meeting of the federal cabinet on Thursday which will take up a 21-point agenda.

The meeting will discuss increase in prices of the necessary items; reconstitution of the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal board; summary of the defence division’s last year by-election expenditures and supplementary grant of Rs429 million for Pakistan Rangers.

It will also accord approval to constitution of the Audit Oversight Board and release of funds for replacing the CCTV cameras at the Islamabad High Court (IHC). Nominations for the council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan will also be reviewed.

Cabinet okays plan for emergency medical centres along highways

The cabinet will approve transfer of health institutes from the cabinet division to the Ministry of National Health Services and endorse previous decisions of the Economic Coordination Council (ECC).

The cabinet will also give approval to various agreements signed with different countries. These include the MoU signed between the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and Belgium’s trade promotion agency.

The meeting will also deliberate on appointment of the director general of the Debt Policy Coordination Office. The federal cabinet will also discuss the reconstitution of the Audit Oversight Board and the additional charge of the managing director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC).
