In a first, Saudi Arabia grants citizenship to robot 'Sophia'
Designed and prepared by Hansen robotics, Little Sophia is 36 centimetres long. Experts have named it ‘education Alexa’.
Back in 2017, Saudi Arabia granted citizenship to a robot named Sophia to underline its hi-tech ambitions at an exhibition previewing major development projects. Little Sophia is said to be the baby-sister of Saudi Arabia's Sophia.
Little Sophia has various features which include; telling jokes to children, singing songs, talking to them and playing games. It also has augmented reality functions due to which before changing its clothes you can see its real face.
Using the app on iOS and Android, python and bloc Olli language can be learned. The robot has been made for children of 7-13 years of age so that science, technology, math, engineering awareness can be taught with ease.

It should be noted that this is an on-going experiment which in 59 days has garnered funding of $75000 on Kickstarter. The price of the robot is $99 for early buyers.
