Taking to micro-blogging website Twitter on Saturday, the premier expressed his gratitude over the recent rains and snowfall by declaring them as a blessing from God.
The rains & snowfall we have received in Pakistan are truly a blessing from God. The rains have been most timely for our crops esp the Barani crops. Also, the rainfall will raise the water table while the snow will melt into our rivers.

PM Imran said the rains have been timely for the Barani or rain-fed crops. He also said the rainfall will raise the water table while the snow will melt into the country's rivers.
Weather turns cold after rainfall in Karachi
The country’s northern areas continue to experience heavy snowfall as some areas remain blanketed by two to three feet of snow. In Punjab, the plains areas were shrouded in fog.
Heavy snowfall and rains have led to the suspension of power in several areas of the country. A number of roads and their arteries remained blocked in the country’s northern belt, causing inconvenience to commuters.
The weather in Karachi has also turned cold after rainfall in different areas of the city earlier this week.
