TDCP announced February 14, 2019 as the date of Pakistan’s biggest motorsports event

LAHORE: TDCP announced February 14, 2019, as the date of Pakistan’s biggest motorsports event, the 14th Cholistan Desert Rally. The colorful press briefing was addressed by Minister for Tourism Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz.

He said arrangements had been completed and this year, drivers from other countries were also expected to take part in the women’s category.

TDCP started the Cholistan Desert Rally in the majestic desert in 2005 with the objective to promote Southern Punjab as a winter tourist destination and promote motorsports in Pakistan.

The 14th TDCP Cholsitan Desert Rally 2019 is a four-day event days event in which renowned drivers from all over Pakistan are participating.

No funds allocated for Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally

The rally route has been extended to more than 450 kilometres in the Cholistan Desert.

It covers the two districts of Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar and includes major forts such as Dingarh, Marrot, Khan Garh, Bhijnot, Moujgarh and Jamgarh.

The minister added TDCP provides an excellent platform for a unique travel experience and the chance to observe Cholistan’s rich history and culture closely. “You will have a brilliant opportunity to visit the city of Nawabs and its unique places.
