ISLAMABAD: A special committee, formed to allot plots to employees of the civic agency of the city, will meet at the body’s headquarters on February 6. The meeting will be chaired by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Administration Director-General Akbar Malik at 11 am. The decision for allotting plots will be made after deliberation on the nine-point-agenda.  The committee meeting will also review matters such as the money received from CDA employees for plots, the list of CDA employees who are being probed by the FIA, list of widows of CDA employees who are part of the Prime Minister’s aid programme, list of promoted employees and the list of needy employees who were selected by the CDA board eight years ago along with other important issues such as vacating a stay order. Later, the committee will draft a set of recommendations. Sources disclosed that the process of plot allotment to CDA employees had been halted eight years ago due to which some employees and officials of the civic body took the matter to court while the allotment committee has been activated once again to ensure merit-based allotment of plots to the needy employees.
