On the occasion, protestors held placards and black flags and chanted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans.
Speaking on the occasion, TeK President Fahim Kayani remarked that India is sabotaging basic rights of Kashmiris. "India is a tyrant and atrocities on the people of occupied Kashmir are a question mark on India's democracy," he commented.
Women and children aren't safe in the occupied territory, he added.
He further said that Kashmiris observe a Black Day to send a message to the Indian leadership that occupied Kashmir is not part of India.

Addressing the protestors, Khalistan Movement UK spokesperson Ranjit Singh termed India as a "democracy whereby rights of minorities are violated on a daily basis".
TeK UK leader Raja Muhammad Nazir said that Black Day aims to send a message to the Indian government and political parties that the occupied valley cannot be deprived of freedom on basis of power and influence.
