ISLAMABAD: Versatile actor Roohi Bano passed away in Istanbul on January 25. She ruled our television screen since the 70s and her demise is a grave loss for the country.
She started to appear in TV dramas while pursuing a psychology degree at the Government College, Lahore. Her appearance on a quiz competition led to a prolific TV career, starting with the Haseena Moin-penned Kiran Kahani. Many of her shows are remembered for her superb acting that gave life to the characters she played.
Roohi Bani will truly be missed by the generation that grew up watching her on screen.
