QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Babar Yousafzai has said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is vital for Balochistan.
Talking to party workers from Makran division on Saturday, he said the nefarious designs of rival countries regarding CPEC would be foiled and it would be made successful at every cost.
Under the PTI-led government, the residents of Gwadar and the people of Balochistan would gain the benefits of CPEC, he added.
Yousafzai said the government would not spare the corrupt elements and would follow accountability process indiscriminately.

He said that previous governments caused serious losses to the people of Balochistan through ineffective polices and corruption. Detrimental effects of their government are clear in every department of the country, he added.
On transporters issues, the PTI leader said the transport minister had assured him of resolving them and concrete measures would be taken in this regard.
“Though we are facing several challenges in the health department of the province, we will make it a model for other provinces,” he said and stressed the need for reforms.
He added that shortage of medicines in government hospitals would b eovercome.
Yousafzai further said that all available resources would be utilised to develop the province.
