Mob Justice: Crowd beats up two robbers

Local residents held two robbers and tortured them in a public square on Tuesday afternoon. Police officials intervened and rescued the brothers. According to residents in Bihari Colony, Zeeshan and Ali were fleeing after snatching a woman’s gold ornaments and cash When Papli Wala resident Shabbir chased them and hit their motorcycle. The robber, Zeeshan, fired at Shabbir and injured him. When Shabbir’s wife called for help dozens of locals held the robbers and began beating them with bricks. The mob broke Ali’s legs and Zeeshan received a head injury. On receiving information about the incident, People’s Colony DSP and SHO reached the scene and shifted both robbers to the hospital.
