Environmental pollution

Little to nothing being done to stop factories from polluting environment

KECH, TURBAT: Industries are significant for the growth and development of a country, but it is equally important to control the harmful side effects that are caused by them.

There are many factories in our country that make products such as chemicals and leather and the waste from these factories are directly released into the sea. This not only pollutes our river streams and seawater but also threatens the flora and fauna.

According to a international report that is released recently, the marine life across the globe is increasingly under threat owing to the pollutants released by factories into the sea. On the other hand, toxic smoke coming from factories pollutes the environment that we breathe in.

Time and again, studies and surveys have shown the health hazards of breathing in such an atmosphere. What is worse is that our country’s healthcare units are too weak to deal with such issues, leading to a loss of lives annually.

Our prime minister is dedicated to improving the healthcare system in the country, but little to nothing is being done to stop factories from polluting our environment.

The incumbent government should devise strategies to deal with this significant issue and save not just our marine life but human life too.
