Finance Committee: NA speaker chairs meeting

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza chaired a meeting of the National Assembly Finance Committee in Parliament House on Tuesday.

The committee approved the regularisation of 53-contingent paid employees of BPS-1 to 4, the increase of promotional quota of security staff of the National Assembly Secretariat from 33 per cent to 50 per cent, upgrading of the posts of protocol assistants and telephone attendants from BPS 12 to 14 and from BPS 4 to 7 respectively, said a press release. The committee approved the increase of remuneration of Qaris for the recitation of the Holy Quran during the sessions of the National Assembly.
