Schemes worth Rs5.98b under way in Sargodha

Officials say Rs3.226 billion have been utilised on these schemes till June 2018

SARGODHA: Construction work on 485 development schemes worth Rs5.98 billion in all four districts of Sargodha division, including, Khushab, Bhakkar and Mianwali are under way. This was stated during a meeting held to review uplift projects in Sargodha division. Sargodha Commissioner Mehmood Hassan chaired the meeting. Officials said Rs3.226 billion had been utilised on these schemes till June 2018, out of total Rs5.98 billion. An amount of Rs489.4 million had also been allocated for these schemes in budget 2018-19. They said that so far, funds worth Rs200 million had been released out of the budget allocations, while Rs170 million had been spent on the projects. They said 22 new schemes worth Rs933.7 million had also been included in the budget and Rs32.9 million funds were released for them. They added that 92% work on 192 schemes related to construction of roads had been completed.
