There is no denying the fact that Justice (retd) Nisar’s name will be written in Pakistan’s history
KARACHI: With the end of chief justice Saqib Nisar’s tenure, we have witnessed an end of an era where judicial activism was in full swing for the right purposes, and perhaps for some time people of the country had started having faith in Pakistan’s judicial system.
There is no denying the fact that Justice (retd) Nisar’s name will be written in Pakistan’s history for setting the course of due process in the right direction. Whether his successor will be able to fit in his shoes will only be known in the future, but going by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa’s track record during his career in the country’s judicial system, one is only hopeful for better times ahead.
