Buzdar expressed these views while addressing tribal leaders from Taunsa and Dera Ghazi Khan at the Circuit House in Multan on Thursday.
He said an additional chief secretary, additional inspector general and secretaries of various departments shall be appointed in the sub-secretariat to facilitate the masses of south Punjab. The CM said a notification has been issued to establish a separate public service commission for the people of South Punjab.
Talking about development projects, Buzdar said the construction of the Multan-Mianwali two-way road would start soon. He announced that the groundbreaking ceremony of Cadet College at Taunsa Sharif would be held during his next visit. An industrial zone would also be set up in Dera Ghazi Khan and Taunsa Sharif, he added.
The CM said a project has been completed to store water of Rodkohi in Taunsa Sharif. This water would be utilised to grow crops, he added. He pointed out said 63 new water projects were being initiated in Taunsa Sharif and 75 projects were restored. The chief minister said Rs500 million were allocated for sewerage projects of Taunsa Sharif.
Later, the chief minister paid a visit to Nishtar Hospital Multan where he met with the patients at different wards and inquired them about the provision of health facilities. He met with the patients at the dialysis center, ICU and other medical wards.
