LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Almas Hyder has called for representation of the private sector in policymaking to ensure immediate treatment of economic issues. The LCCI president told the media on Wednesday that being the most important stakeholder, the private sector must have representation in policymaking teams, which would be equally beneficial for the government and private sector. Hyder said that the business community had a great combination of fertile ideas both for businesses and economy but these could not be decoded until and unless the private sector had representation at the supreme forums. Hyder said that the government should make necessary legislation in this regard as the health of economic indicators was not good at the moment.
