Swiss authorities slap Arbab Muhammad Farooq Jan with €301 fine after tracing whereabouts from his passport

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Arbab Muhammad Farooq Jan on Wednesday was sent a traffic fine of €301 by Swiss authorities after he failed to pay the amount on his visit to Switzerland.
He was caught overspeeding in Emmen's neighbourhood while on a family vacation four months ago.
Jan, who was driving a rented vehicle at the time he was caught by authorities going at a speed of 117 km/h while the prescribed speed limit is set at 100km/h.
The JUII-F leader had originally been issued a €105 fine, however, upon his failure to pay it, the amount was increased to €301.
Sindh governor fined for violating traffic rules
The Swiss authorities traced his Peshawar address through his passport.
Jan said he would pay the fine through his friend in Switzerland.
Earlier in the day, the motorway police fined Sindh Governor Imran Ismail for over speeding in Islamabad.
The governor was issued a challan of Rs750 which he paid on the spot. He was in the federal capital to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan.
