RAWALPINDI: Halal food is a huge market and Malaysia is importing Halal meat from non-Muslim countries including India, said Antahraya CEO Rosin AlRehman. Leading a six-member trade delegation from Malaysia that visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Tuesday, AlRehman said, “We want to import Halal meat from Pakistan, a brotherly Muslim country, and we have visited different local food companies for possible joint ventures in Halal food.” The delegation was representing various sectors, including glass, timber and Halal food. Addressing the gathering, the CEO said that Pakistan and Malaysia have massive potential to enhance cooperation in various fields. He urged both countries to encourage frequent exchange of trade delegations in a bid to explore all untapped areas of cooperation.
