While welcoming the former US ambassador, who served in Pakistan from 2010-12, the prime minister vowed to ensure strong relations with United States based on mutual benefit and confidence. The prime minister informed Munter of the government’s priorities to bring meaningful changes in the lives of Pakistanis through equitable distribution of resources and a balanced approach to social and economic development.
During the meeting, the former US ambassador reflected on the time he spent while serving as the ambassador for Pakistan, calling it a notable experience. Munter informed the premier that he now serves as president of a renowned think thank, the East West Institute, where he also supports strong relationship between Pakistan and the US.
