City police chief orders to adopt core values of loyalty to their work

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) additional IG BA Nasir has said the newly posted station house officers (SHOs) at different police stations of the city should ensure a cordial attitude towards citizens. He urged them to follow the code of conduct and discipline of the department.

He said behavioural change was the key to better policing. He directed officers and officials of the police department to adopt the core values of loyalty to their work. He said this would ensure the provision of justice without any kind of external influence or pressure..

He said this while presiding over a meeting held at Police Lines Qilla Gujjar Singh on Saturday. DIG Operations Muhammad Waqas Nazir, DIG Investigation Inaam Waheed, SSP Operations Lahore Captain Mustansir Feroze, SSP Investigation Zeeshan Asghar, SSP Discipline Athar Waheed, SP Headquarters Syed Karrar Hussain, Divisional SPs of operations and investigation wings, DSPs, SHOs and investigations in-charges participated in the meeting. The newly-posted SHOs were also in attendance.

CCPO BA Nasir said all SDPOs and SHOs should deal with the criminals with an iron hand and solve the problems of citizens on a priority basis.


“We can achieve the target of making our society a peaceful place by following the rules of professionalism and sincerity to our obligation,” he said.

He said Lahore Police was taking all possible measures for the welfare and betterment of its officials and the doors of his office were always open. Nasir said the policy of zero-tolerance in case of corruption would be adopted and every official would be accountable for his deeds.

Meanwhile, DIG Operations Muhammad Waqas Nazir distributed cash awards and commendation certificates among the officers and officials for excellent performance. DIG Nazir lauded the performance of all the outstanding police personnel.
